Our Story

Tiki Pearl Arts & Crafts is a family-owned business rooted in Polynesian culture and tradition.

Our story began on the small island of Tonga.

As a teenager, our father, Victor Niu, received a carving tool set from a friend visiting from the United States.  With nothing more than curiosity and determination, he began carving any wood he could find, transforming simple pieces into beautiful works of art.

Today, at 82 years old, his legacy continues.

Over the years, he has taught many skilled carvers, including family members and in-laws, passing down techniques and a deep respect for Polynesian craftsmanship.  What started as a simple passion has grown into a family tradition.

Our work now spans across the Pacific.

In Oahu, his daughter Mele & hubby Kelepi own a carving shop.  In Tonga, the craft continues through the next generation.  Our family also includes talented artists such as tattoo artists  'Ana Niu & Westover Niu, as well as skilled jewelry makers.

Carollynn & Evelynn, the youngest in the family, specialize in bold statement necklaces and traditional kiekie sets.  Ivy also creates beautiful handcrafted jewelry pieces.

At Tiki Pearl Arts & Crafts, every item reflects our family's heritage, skill, and love for creating.  Nothing is mass-produced, each piece carries a story, a culture, and generations of craftsmanship.
